Storm damage from yesterday. (photo's)

Because of the drought we've had for the last few years the roots on the trees are shallow. Makes for a hazard when the storms come. Thankfully this one is gonna be the electricity company's drama. It's right near the neighbours driveway and there's power lines running down it.

Forgive the quality. They were done as stills on my video cam.

Same one. The goat's name is Rogue. Bit temperament.

The goats don't complain.

I've got lots of chainsaw work to do over the next few days. The whole valley is alive with saws right now. Sounds cool.

  1. I love the sound of a two stroke in the morning.

A massive tree up at Mum and Dad's property got struck by lightening a few months back. Split it right down the middle and killed the tree.

  2. I was living in South Dade (Miami) when Hurricane Andrew struck. South Dade was full of beautiful Australian Pines...they were the ones that were mostly destroyed, because of the shallow roots.

  3. It looks lovely where you live Moko, I love the Australian bush and the smell of eucalyptus.

  4. Be alright if you had a fire place, get it dried out and you would be fine for the fuel this or probably next winter. Not sure if you would have time to dry it properly by this winter.

But if not, maybe someone will take it for you for themselves?
