FINALLY, some good news.

Since just before Christmas I've been learning Barista ... umm ... ing ... at a joint that's like volunteer for training at a functioning 'cafe'. Love coffee, love being there.

They gave me the heads up about a position - (which I can't go into SPECIFIC details) - as a Barista at a cafe. I get the interview - finally FFS - and rock up.

Long story short. The cafe - nation wide chain - is re-staffing the whole place for reasons I can't say but are looking for a trainee chef. Turns out I fit the bill regarding age and personality that they're looking for in their chef. I have big experience Good Manufacturing Practices, OH&S regarding food production, etc, so it isn't just smoke and bullshit.

I'm reluctant to use the word 'chef' though the menu is more than Fish & Chip Shop shit, I wouldn't call it Hilton either. Somewhere in the middle.

Beautiful challenge, and stoked for the offer as I love cooking.

Start Monday for an intro. WOOT!.
